Campus IDREAM Committee
The Campus IDREAM Committee consists of Penn State DuBois faculty, staff, administration and students who meet to support diversity initiatives on campus such as classroom and co-curricular opportunities, student engagement programs, activities and events, as well as working to implement diversity and inclusion at every level of campus educational and operational development.
Vision and Mission
To cultivate a campus and community that fosters the IDREAM mission. Ongoing and continued effort to foster a safe and welcoming campus and community by educating and keeping an open dialogue on:
- Inclusion (respectful treatment of all people and perspectives)
- Diversity (numeric representation and support of faculty, staff, and students who hold different social identities, backgrounds, and experiences)
- Racial equality (equal treatment and procedural fairness for all races)
- Equity (attention to disparate impact and systemic barriers)
- Accountability (holding oneself responsible for one’s actions by constructive conversation and change); Awareness (raising consciousness about our own biases and examining our own privileges and the lens through which we experience the world)
- Multiculturalism (acknowledging and respecting an array of cultures by providing opportunities to engage in cultural diversity)
